The port of Frederikshavn is the starting point for ferry traffic to Sweden (Gothenburg) and Norway (Oslo) – and to the island of Laesoe. The port has a total of 6 km of quays, 5 ferry berths, 1 railway ferry berth and 3 Ro-Ro berths at its disposal. A busy port with approximately 6,000 annual ship calls, 5,200 ferry calls with 3 million passengers, 600,000 passenger cars, 210,000 truck units, 45,000 busses, and a total freight quantity amounting to more than 3 million tons, the port of Frederikshavn is among the 10 largest ports in Denmark.
