The port of Pembroke can be traced as far back as 1218, known as Peterchurch, a small settlement close to Pembroke. The port as it is now was founded in 1814 when a naval dockyard was established. There are approximately 2000 ship movements through the port of Pembroke annually. The port of Pembroke boasts a 30 million pound ro-ro berth and terminal facility which provides drivers and passengers with a very high standard of accommodation & facilities. Ferry services from Pembroke go to Rosslare (Republic of Ireland). The port caters for unaccompanied cargo, driver accompanied and passenger vehicles.
