Seatruck Ferries
Seatruck Ferries is part of a much larger group based in the Bahamas called the Clipper Group Ltd. The Clipper Group Ltd owns over 100 vessels and operates over 250 vessels, largely dedicated to bulk transportation. Vessels range in size from 3500 dwt tankers through to 84,000 dwt panamax bulk carriers.
Seatruck Ferries are a freight only operator on the Irish Sea and since Seatruck Ferries were bought by the Clipper Group Ltd, an extensive investment and re-tonnage programme commenced. In addition to Seatruck’s already successful Heysham to Warrenpoint service, in 2007 Seatruck Ferries bought Celtic Link’s Liverpool to Dublin freight service. Between June 2007 and October 2009 Seatruck introduced 4 brand new freight vessels onto the Irish Sea. The Clipper Pace and Clipper Panorama sail between Heysham and Warrenpoint and the Clipper Pennant and Clipper Point sail between Liverpool and Dublin. Although there are only 12 driver cabins on the Seatruck vessels, freight drivers traveling on the new build ships are treated to single occupancy cabins, T.V.’s and meals cooked to order.
